 The Mentor Network Mentor's “Shared Service Center” relocated to Osgood Landing, the former Lucent Technology building with over one million square feet of space. This office was being created to house the newly centralized accounting function for all Mentor offices nationwide. Only a small group of Finance staff were part of the first move as additional staff will be hired as the new systems ramp up. The space will also be shared with some Human Resources functions.
The Mentor Network had the opportunity to furnish their entire space using pre-owned furniture (from the former Lucent tenant) which was furnished by the Landlord, Ozzy Properties, at no cost to Mentor. An estimated savings of $525,000 was due to the level of furniture which was provided: almost new Steelcase Montage workstations and private offices, Criterion seating, file cabinets, etc. for a space with 91 employee seats.
